2011-2012 State Budget Proposal

Governor Jerry Brown released his 2011-2012 state budget proposal on January 10, 2011.  The budget for the State Department of Developmental Services  (DDS) that includes the Regional Centers is one of several programs slated for deep cuts totaling $750 million.  The Governor is proposing the implementation of Statewide Service Standards as the main vehicle for achieving the proposed savings, while continuing the existing 4.25% reduction to Regional Center operations budget and service provider rates. The DDS Budget Highlights can be found at the following link:  http://www.dds.ca.gov/Budget/home.cfm
