The TCADD Board of Directors needs your assistance!

A Message from Rachel Huff, TCADD Board President

We are actively recruiting new Board members. The TCADD Board of Directors' membership must reflect the diversity of cultures, ethnicities, and viewpoints representative of the people we serve and their families.  We are seeking Hispanic and Asian candidates for Board membership, as well as residents of San Luis Obispo County, to assure inclusion of ideas and perspectives from all who receive services from TCRC.

As you may know, the purpose of the TCADD Board of Directors is to support the work of the regional center staff, advocate for the needs of persons with developmental disabilities and their families, and to be ever mindful of our community stakeholders.

This is accomplished by developing effective Board policies and procedures. Additionally, we advise the regional center Executive Director and his staff in overseeing the implementation of those policies, ensuring that they not only meet all state and federal requirements, but that they are effective in providing the necessary supports and services to allow the people we serve to live safely and actively as independent members of our community.
