Building an Emergency Kit

Building Your Go-Bag Kit

Having a 72-hour emergency kit ready to go at all times is a good idea. That way, if you find yourself in harm’s way, you can “grab it and go.” However, building an emergency kit can be expensive when done all at once for many people. Therefore, using the American Red Cross 21-Weeks to Prepare, you can buy critical items over 21 weeks and slowly build your kit on a budget. You probably already have some items, so you can adjust the plan to suit your needs.
